To find a convent or monastery to visit, you will find different buildings and rooms for various traditions. Prayers may be done alone, or in a group at certain times of the day. Spaces will be reserved for meditation, eating, gardening, and other activities throughout the day. You will want to learn about the convent or monastery before making a decision on if you want to join or not. Visiting is often allowed and gives society a chance to see what life would be like as a monk or nun. Convents and monasteries go back to medieval times, and have an interesting history you can learn when visiting one.
